Cancer Cell

Tracking down the cure for cancer began in the most unexpected of ways. It was while I was looking into various claims for cures of cancer in the alternative medicine disciplines that I chanced upon a news report by the BBC published in 2001. It would lead me along a path of investigation to a remarkable discovery. I was at the time investigating a herb that was said to get rid of parasites, claimed by some to be the cause of cancer, when I accidently came across details of a completely different herb of the same genus as the one I was currently investigating. This herb or rather its active ingredient I was to soon to learn had already saved over a million lives combating another scourge of mankind, but now scientists had discovered that it had the most most incredible potential to cure cancer than any product on the market. Furthermore, genuine medical tests had proved the herb's effectiveness in destroying cancer cells without the toxicity that is associated with traditional chemotherapy drugs. What I am about to do is to take you through my investigation as it unfolded and allow you to share with me the pleasure and joy of finding this cure that will, without a shadow of doubt, change the face of cancer treatment in the very near future. So let me begin.

I Receive an Email

This story began when I received an email in July 2006 from a gentleman who lives in Spain. His name is Kevin Day and he had read my previous book Breast Cancer "Prevention and Cure" Your Choice! Commenting on the book he said, "Your book on breast cancer is brilliant and very informative. But there is information not included which you may find useful". He then proceeded to describe to me a line of research that I had not taken into consideration. He suggested that I looked into the work of Hulda Clark. "Your claim that cancer is only caused by chemicals", he said, "is disputed by myself and her research. All evidence points to parasite involvement as well as chemicals."

While it was true that Kevin Day had acknowledged that chemicals played a key part in causing cancer, and my book certainly provided substantial evidence to support that view, I was certainly taken aback when he mentioned that parasite involvement was also involved! This was a bizarre theory to be sure. However, I am always prepared to look into anything that may shed light on the prevention or cure of breast cancer, or any other cancer for that matter, just in case I find something. I had already researched the claims of Royal Raymond Rife (1888 -1971) who claimed that he could destroy the virus that he believed caused cancer with resonance frequencies generated by his equipment. Unfortunately, his high-powered 'universal microscope' he used to verify his claims, could not be reproduced and the five that were made were so difficult to use, that it was debatable if any viruses could be seen at all.

For over three decades, Harry Hoxsey (1901-1974), a self-taught healer, was said to have cured many cancer patients using a herbal remedy reportedly handed down by his great-grandfather. By the 1950s, the Hoxsey Cancer Clinic in Dallas was the world's largest private cancer center, with branches in seventeen states. However, his herbal remedy was unable to prevent him from dying of cancer himself, so that was the end of that. In 1952 Dr. Ernst Krebs from San Francisco advanced the theory that cancer is a vitamin deficiency disease, similar to scurvy or pellagra. His theory was that the cause of the disease was the lack of an essential food compound in modern-man's diet. Unfortunately, the evidence he presented did not stand up to scientific scrutiny, and so I did not pursue this any further. I also looked into the herbal remedies of Eli G. Jones, MD (1850 - 1933) and the Hydrazine Sulfate Theory of Dr. Joseph Gold, but I found that these too lacked creditability.

Even though the herbal remedies of Hoxsey, Krebs and Jones may in themselves not cure cancer it is quite possible that they may have helped the immune system to fight the disease as long as the patient was not also on a sugar rich diet that is typical of the western world. Hence, some results that had been claimed may indeed have been valid. I now turned my attention the claims of Dr. Hulda Clark as had been advised by Kevin Day in his email to me. It was not long before I found out that her theory, that parasites caused cancer, lacked any credibility too, for a host or reasons that I discuss below. However, in the process of investigating a herbal treatment that she advocated as part of her treatment regime I read a news story that was to lead me on a new line of research that was to pay dividends in a big way as you are about to find out.

The Parasite Theory of Hulda Clark

For those who do not know, Dr Hulda Clark made a name for herself by advocating a theory that is at odds with what the medical profession says about cancer. This has not deterred her in the least and she has sold over 7 million books about her theory with The Cure for All Diseases probably being the most recognised. Although her title is that of a doctor, she is not a medical doctor. Her background is that she attended the University of Minnesota, studying biophysics and cell physiology, and received her Doctorate degree in physiology almost 50 years ago, in 1958. Later, in 1979 she left government funded research and began private consulting on a full time basis.

In her books Hulda Clark claims that the human intestinal fluke, Fasciolopsis buski, is found in all cancer patients that she has treated. She further alleges that this parasite is involved in the aetiology of AIDS, Alzheimer's, and numerous other disorders. She is quite adamant about this and says in her own words: "All cancers are alike and all are caused by the single parasite (Fasciolopsis buskii), the same parasite that also causes HIV and AIDS. Hence, if you kill the parasite, the cancer will stops immediately and the affected tissues will return to normal. 1

This is very strange claim, not because that there is a parasite involved but rather it is the one that she says is the prime culprit for the disease namely Fasciolopsis buski that is baffling. This is a very large organism, and can grow up to 7 centimetres (2.5 inches) long. The adult worms attach themselves to the tissues of the small intestine of the host by means of ventral suckers; the sites of attachment may later ulcerate and form abscesses. In the early stage of the infection, there is usually abdominal pain, as well as diarrhoea and nausea alternating with constipation. Heavy infestations that go untreated cause general body weakness and fluid retention, which may have serious consequences, especially in children.

Fasciolopsis buski is one parasite that you are not going to be able to ignore if you have one and it is inconceivable that oncologists and pathologists have somehow missed finding this parasite in the countless post mortems they have carried out on cancer victims. Yet Hulda Clark claims that she sees this parasite in various life stages in ALL cancer cases she has treated.2 This is an extraordinary claim! Why? Because while cancer is an epidemic that spans the globe and is particually prevelant in western countries, this particular organism can only be found in several Southeast and south Asian countries (e.g. China, Taiwan, India, Bangladesh, and Thailand). It is not found in the Western world. Hence, even before I had passed the starting blocks when investigating her claims I had already uncovered a serious flaw in her theory.

I continued my researches and found that there was no scientific evidence that Fasciolopsis buski is distributed worldwide. Nor could I find any evidence that the organism (or its life stages) was present in cases of cancer or AIDS. It is as if Hulda Clark chose this parasite out of a hat because of its size, to frighten people and create shock impact. It would certainly be a clever marketing ploy and would get her books noticed. The problem is that she evidently had not done her homework and she even spelt the name of the parasite wrong in her book. By the time she published her first book, which made the claim the error had been made. It was too late backtrack and so she evidently had to go with the charade.

I am reminded of the words by Hitler when he said, "make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it". It worked for him and it evidently worked for Hulda Clark because she has sold many books and has a large following who believe that what she says with almost religious fervour, Kevin Day evidently being one of them.

To recap then, according to Hulda Clark, the human intestinal fluke, Fasciolopsis buski causes cancer. However, as we have seen this parasite is found only in S.E Asia, but she claims that she finds it in every case of cancer she has treated - in the USA and Mexico. Her claim does not add up! Furthermore, nobody else in all the medical services involved in treating cancer patients has ever noticed this parasite, the largest human fluke in the parasitic world. What then are we to make of her claims? I leave you to draw your own conclusions. .

This simple "Moisture Detector" is what Hulda Clark claims she uses to detect parasites. THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE with this device!
Undaunted by these obvious irregularities Hulda Clark turns to an electronic device of her own 'design' to support her hypothesis. In fact, every 'discovery' Hulda Clark has ever made hinges on the validity of this testing device of hers, the 'Syncrometer' as she calls it. She says that the device was developed for the purpose of detecting parasites, bacteria, and toxins. She claims that, "the Syncrometer is more accurate and versatile than the best existing testing methods." 3

It was indeed fortunate to discover that she had a schematic drawing of her device in her book and so I was eager to examine its intricate parts. However, when I took a look at the device you could have knocked me down with a feather. I could not believe what I saw. The 'Synchrometer' was nothing more than a simple device made from a few cheap components, a device that I made more that 30 years ago as part of my training in electronics. Incidently, I have a C&G qualification in Industrial Electronics (passed with distinction) and a C&G qualification in Electrical Engineering (passed with credit), and have been involved in military, business and domestic eletronics for many years. So I know what I am talking about when it comes down to electronics.

The device in the schematic drawing is nothing more than a simple audio oscillator (hooked up to a speaker via a step-up transformer) that changes pitch according to the amount of moisture applied to the two probes (Dr. Clark's "handhold" and "probe"). In other words it is in fact nothing more than a crude unsophisticated moisture detector. You can prove what I have said is true yourself. If you are one of those people who have been fooled into buying one of her devices, simply insert the probes of the device in the dry soil of a potted plant. Switch on the device and nothing will happen. But now water the plant and lo and behold, the speaker will admit a tone. You can adjust the sensitivity of the "moisture detector" by turning the variable resistor in the circuit. As the soil becomes drier the tone will change until it eventually disappears altogether.

If I had any doubts about Hulda Clark's theory this device clinched it. I can say this because I know from a technical aspect that it is impossible to detect parasites or anything else other than moisture with this device. It does not really detect moisture either but works on the principle that the circuit takes into consideration the resistance between the two probes. When separated the resistance of the air gap between the probes is very high and the oscillator cannot be triggered. However, by placing an object between the probes that contains moisture within it, the moisture offers a pathway of least resistance for an electric current to flow through and so the oscillator functions and an audio tone is generated through the speaker.

I can state categorically that Hulda Clark's 'Synchrometer' cannot do what she alleges it can do. This can only mean one thing. Hulda Clark's claims that she detected parasites in all her cancer patients with this device cannot be true! If you recall her words, her proof of finding the "intermediate liver fluke stages" in cancer patients is based entirely on the use of this device and this device alone. Hence, apart from this device she has no valid findings to support her claims. She has not used histopathology, immunohistochemistry, or any other scientifically established forms of testing and her claim that flukes can be found in the feces of patients with cancer and AIDS is not supported by any scientific evidence. For her claims to be valid, thousands of pathologists (worldwide) would have to miss these flukes (and intermediate fluke stages) in histopathological examinations of tumor biopsies and during gross examinations at autopsy. Only Hulda Clark has seen these parasites and fluke in 'her cancer

By now I knew that Hulda Clark's parasite theory was untenable and so I thought about abandoning this line of investigation altogether. However, besides her electronic devices the 'Synchrometer' to detect parasites and the 'Zapper' to kill them (another useless and fabricated device) she also promotes a regime of herbs as part of her treatment. Now I am all for herbal remedies if they can be proved to have any benefit, although the purpose for the herbs she advocated was aimed at cleansing the body of parasites, there was always the remote possibility that one or all may have some usefulness in treating cancer. So I continued with my investigation although I thought that it would lead to a dead end. I could not have been more wrong!

Do Parasite Cleansing Herbs Fight Cancer?

The Three herbs of Hulda Clark's Parasite Cleansing Protocol
To be fair, Hulda Clark does not say that the herbs she describes as her Parasite Cleansing Protocol in her book The Cure for all Cancers have any cancer fighting capabilities. They are used to rid the body of parasites and the first thing to keep in mind is that the herbs that she discusses are not of her own invention. They have been used in this and other combinations for centuries and are well known in folklore to be able to rid the body of worms, flukes and other parasites. She is therefore not advocating anything new and she does not claim she is. But a search on the Internet will give you the impression that this herbal assemblage that she recommends is her invention.

With respects to Hulda Clark's 'Parasite Cleansing Protocol' as it is commonly called, she writes: "Getting rid of parasites would be absolutely impossible using clinical medicines that each can kill only one or two parasites. Such medicines also tend to make you quite ill. Flagyl is used for amoebas and Giardia; when the correct dosage is used, it can cause extreme nausea and vomiting. Imagine taking ten such drugs to kill a dozen of your parasites!

"Good news", she says, "perhaps, for the drug makers but not for you. Yet three herbs can rid you of over 100 types of parasites! And without so much as a headache! Without nausea! Without any interference with any drug that you are already on! Does this sound too fantastic? Just too good to be true? They are natures gift to us. Follow the Parasite Cleanse including:

* Black Walnut Hulls (from the black walnut tree)
* Wormwood (Super W Blend) (from the Artemisia shrub)
* Common Cloves (from the clove tree)

"These three herbs must be used together", She says. "Black walnut hull and wormwood kill adults and developmental stages of at least 100 parasites. Cloves kill the eggs. Only if you use them together will you rid yourself of parasites. If you kill only the adults, the tiny stages and eggs will soon grow into new adults. If you kill only the eggs, the million stages already loose in your body will soon grow into adults and make more eggs. They must be used together as a single treatment." [4]

From this we see that Hulda Clark promotes a herbal program that consists of black walnut hull tincture, wormwood capsules, and cloves. These, she says should be taken over a three week period. After this she recommends a weekly maintenance program to prevent re-infection from the home, pets, undercooked dairy products and undercooked meat, the latter which she believes is the main source of the intestinal fluke that causes cancer.

My first thought concerning this was, if the "Zapper" electronic device that she uses and recommends is so great at killing parasites why is their a need for this additional herbal treatment? Hulda Clark has an answer! She says that that her herbal program kills the remaining stages of parasite activity throughout the body, which cannot be reached by the electric current of her Zapper device. What she really means is that knowing that her devices are useless, she now covers her bets with a treatment (not hers) that is well known in folklore (not conventional medicine) to rid the body of parasites. The question as far as I was concerned was, do these herbs offer any anti-cancer properties? Let us look each herb seperately and see if we can find anything.

Black Walnut Hulls
Black wallnut hulls comes from the hardwood black walnut tree that can reach a height of more than 100 feet. The nut hulls, inner bark, leaves, and nut (also called the fruit) have been used in herbal remedies for centuries. The tree also produces a substance that is toxic or "allelopathic" to other plants called juglone. which is a natural herbicide. Landscapers have long known that gardening underneath or near black walnut trees can be difficult. Juglone exerts its affect by inhibiting certain enzymes needed for metabolic function. Blackwalnut has long been used as an antiparasitic. It is also effective as an antifungal and is often used to treat over-growth of candida and athlete's foot.

Although no reports of major human side effects from black walnut are reported in the literature, black walnut contains a high content of chemicals known as tannins. Other oral preparations that have contained high levels of tannins have been associated with kidney and liver damage. Additionally, one observational study found that individuals who regularly used large amounts of an oral tannin-containing product for many years had a higher likelihood of developing tongue and lip cancer than expected. Cancers of the nose and esophagus may also be more likely in individuals who use large amounts of oral products that contain tannins for long periods of time. The fact that black walnut hulls contain tannin chemicals, and is recommended to be used for an extensive period by Hulda Clark and others, is probably asking for trouble. There is no evidence that the chemicals in black wallnut hulls have any anti-cancer properties.

Common Cloves
Common Cloves is the name for the tropical tree, Syzygium aromaticum, of the family Myrtaceae. The tree is native to North Moluccas (Indonesia) It was replanted to several other islands by the Dutch and later introduced to Zanzibar and Madagascar. The clove tree is a evergreen with small white flowers which grow in clusters. The flower buds are gathered and dried. Clove is used in the famous Worcestershire sauce and extensively as a spice in cooking. Cloves are also used in pickles among other things.

The ancient Chinese chewed cloves to sweeten their breath but it is the natural antisceptic properties of the herb that finds its way into modern medicine. Oil of Clove" is very popular as a mild anaesthetic for toothaches, and very effective it is too. However, although some have suggested that adding some cloves to foods will help kill the eggs from parasites in the intestinal tract, there no scientific evidence to support this. Certainly, there are no studies that suggest that the use of cloves has any anti-cancer properties.

Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) is a perennial that is native to Europe and parts of Africa and Asia but now grows wild in the United States. It is often found growing alongside roads or paths. This shrubby plant is 1-3 ft (0.3-0.9 m) tall and has gray-green or white stems covered with fine hairs. The yellowish-green leaves are hairy and silky and have glands that contain resinous particles where a natural insecticide is stored.

Wormwood releases an aromatic odor and has a spicy, bitter taste. Wormwood is often used as a digestive stimulant. It is said to be helpful in treating indigestion, heartburn, irritable bowel syndrome, stomach pain, gas, and bloating. By increasing the production of stomach acids and bile, and as the name suggests it has been used in folklore herbal remedies for centuries to eliminate intestinal worms, especially pinworms and roundworms. It is has also been used as an insect repellent and insecticide. According to the American Cancer Society, "There is no scientific evidence that wormwood is effective in treating cancer, the side effects of cancer treatment, or any other conditions. The plant contains a volatile oil with a high level of thujone (see Thuja.) There are reports that taking large doses of wormwood internally can cause serious problems with the liver and kidneys. It can also cause nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, headache, dizziness, seizures, numbness of the legs and arms, delirium, and paralysis."

Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium)

Although, one or maybe two of the herbs listed may help rid the body of parasites such as worms and flukes, there is no evidence that any of them have been used for the treatment of cancer or that any substances within them has the potential to do so. In fact, one of them black walnut husks may even induce cancer because of the tannin chemicals that exudes from the herb.

An Accidental Discovery

It is strange how things work out. Here was I researching a person who claimed to cure all diseases, aided by her devices, parasite protocol and treatment centres and proving that she could not possibly do what she alleged she could do, when an accidental Internet search opened up a completely new area of investigation. This was to lead to the CURE that everyone has been searching for many, many years. But because of its implications, I also discovered that it has, out of necessity, been hushed up. What I mean by this I shall now explain but first the discovery that will turn the cancer world upside down.

One of the herbs used in Hulda Clark's parasite protocol was Wormwood, as I have already related. She made it very clear that the variety of this herb that should be used was the one known as Artemesia absynthium. 5 So when I looked at this to find out its properties etc, I accidentally came upon a news bulletin by the BBC under the heading "Chinese remedy 'may fight cancer" dated 28 November 2001. It said "Wormwood may provide a treatment for cancer." The report further said, "researchers from the University of Washington have discovered that breast cancer cells can be effectively targeted, using a chemical derived from the wormwood plant called artemisinin. The derivative killed virtually all the breast cancer cells exposed to it within 16 hours." 6

I was stunned! Could Hulda Clark have been right all along? It certainly appeared that way. It was not until I looked into this further that I discovered that the wormwood herb in the news report, was not the one that Hulda Clark had described in her parasite protocol program. Although her herb is called by the same generic name of "Wormwood", it was in fact a genus known as Artemisia annua that was in the news report, a completely different plant altogether. Just like brussel sprouts is of the same plant family as the cabbage, it is nonetheless very different, having dissimilar properties. Hence, the news report was not talking about Hulda Clark's Artemesia absinthium but was in fact discussing another one in the family group called Artemisia annua.

The time had come to close my investigation of Hulda Clark and concentrate on this new line of research. What an incredible discovery it turned out to be. THE CURE FOR CANCER AT LAST! What puzzled me though, at this stage of my investigation, was that it some aspects of the cancer fighting properties of the drug were announced five years ago. Why had I not heard about it before? Something odd was going on and I was right. Politics and unethical business practices had been involved in keeping this revelation under wraps, but these reasons are only part of the cover up. There is a moral necessity for a conspiracy of silence to be enforced until the time is right when an announcement of the cure can be made, and when the quality and supplies of the drug has been ensured. What I mean by that statement will become clear as this story unfolds.
